Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 20, 2026

1. Who We Are

TRAID is a field service management platform operated by Bar13 Ventures LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use TRAID. By using the platform, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

  • Account registration details: name, email address, business name, trade type.
  • Business data you enter: customer records, job details, quotes, invoices, photos, and notes.
  • Payment and billing information (processed by Stripe — we do not store raw card numbers).
  • Communications you send us via email or in-app chat.

Information collected automatically:

  • Log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps.
  • Device information: operating system and device type for the mobile PWA.
  • Session cookies required for authentication and security.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the TRAID platform and its features.
  • To process payments and record financial transactions on your behalf.
  • To send transactional emails (payment receipts, quote notifications, invoice reminders).
  • To enforce our Terms of Service and prevent fraud or abuse.
  • To respond to your support requests.
  • To analyze aggregate, anonymized usage patterns to improve the product.

We do not use your data to train AI models, sell to advertisers, or share with data brokers.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We share only the minimum data necessary with the following sub-processors to deliver the service:

ProviderPurposeData Shared
SupabaseDatabase & authenticationAll business data (encrypted at rest)
StripePayment processing & ConnectName, email, payment details, payout info
ResendTransactional email deliveryRecipient email address, email content
VercelHosting & edge deliveryRequest logs, IP addresses
Intuit (QuickBooks)Accounting integration (optional)Customer names, invoice amounts, line items — only if you connect QuickBooks
XeroAccounting integration (optional)Customer names, invoice amounts, line items — only if you connect Xero

Core providers (Supabase, Stripe, Resend, Vercel) are always active. Accounting integrations (QuickBooks, Xero) are optional — data is only shared if you explicitly connect them in Settings. All providers are contractually required to protect your data and may not use it for their own marketing or analytics.

5. Accounting Integrations

TRAID offers optional connections to third-party accounting platforms. If you choose to connect QuickBooks Online or Xero, the following applies:

  • You explicitly authorize the transfer of customer records and paid invoice data to the connected provider.
  • Data shared is limited to what is necessary for accounting purposes: customer name, contact info, invoice line items, amounts, and dates.
  • You may disconnect the integration at any time from Settings → Integrations. Disconnecting stops future transfers; data already sent to the third party is governed by their privacy policies.
  • Intuit’s privacy policy governs data shared with QuickBooks. Xero’s privacy policy governs data shared with Xero. We are not responsible for how they store or use transferred data.

6. Data Security

  • All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256).
  • Row-Level Security (RLS) is enforced at the database layer — each business account can only access its own data.
  • Authentication tokens are validated server-side on every request; session cookies are HttpOnly and Secure.
  • Sensitive keys (Stripe, service roles) are stored in environment variables and never exposed in client bundles.

7. Data Retention

We retain your business data for as long as your account is active. Job photos and files are stored until you manually archive or delete them. If you cancel your account, you may request a full data export within 30 days of cancellation; after that period, your data will be permanently deleted from our systems.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of all data we hold about you and your business.
  • Correction — update inaccurate information directly in the platform or by contacting us.
  • Deletion — request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data.
  • Portability — export your business data (customers, jobs, invoices) in a standard format.
  • Opt-out — unsubscribe from non-transactional communications at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, contact support@traid.app. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Cookies

We use only essential session cookies required for authentication and security. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or analytics cookies that identify you personally.

10. Children’s Privacy

TRAID is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

Because TRAID is developed and operated in California, California residents who use TRAIDhave additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

  • Right to Know — request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
  • Right to Delete — request deletion of personal information we hold, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Right to Opt-Out — we do not sell personal information, so no opt-out is required. We will never sell your data.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any CCPA rights.

To submit a CCPA request, contact support@traid.app. We will respond within 45 days as required by law.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated by email to the account owner at least 14 days before taking effect. The current version is always available at traid.app/privacy.
